It is interesting to know that we are composed of mostly water with some chemicals thrown in; yet, all of these work together to form bones, muscles, tissues, organs, nervous system, our entire being. We are simple and complex beings all at once. These complex compositions of chemicals, water, tissues, etc. help us to control our bodies and our minds. What we do with our bodies through our minds does matter.
Often we don’t use our bodies and our minds to our fullest potential. We settle for less than, because we give control to others or we are afraid of making mistakes. My friend, Dawnna St. Louis, author and life coach, reminds us in her book, YOLO (You Only Live Once), you only get one chance to live life; therefore, live it to the fullest. Our time here is brief in terms of eternity, but you can make a difference in this world and leave a legacy that surpasses your years here. Think of it! Even if you impact only one life, that one life can impact thousands, if not millions of lives.
Solomon, attributed to being the Wisest Man, says in Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 “I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.” Here is a man that had so much wealth that he could buy anything he wanted; still, he was not satisfied with his wealth until he came to the epiphany above. What should we do? We should live our purpose in life. Live it with great passion and enthusiasm!
Our bodies and our minds were formed into such beautiful work of arts. Take time to appreciate and celebrate this fact. Start to day. Don’t settle for less. Don’t give your control to others. Use your beautiful mind and body to live your purpose. Another good friend of mine, Heather Mahoney, often ends her speeches with the phrase: “To Your Success!” Here is to YOUR Success, my friends. Live a Diamond Life, a Life of Purpose!
