Mentoring is needed to encourage young women in the technology fields. I remember my first job as a Network Engineer, it was me an 32 “White Guys”. My manager would bring his secretary along on business trips thinking this would make me feel more comfortable. I often teased my son that he was the only kid whose mom carried a screw driver in her purse.
